This is what eternity sounds like. Many thanks.
What a groove they’ve got going!…Such joy! Wonderful 🙂
Incroyable ! Merci mille fois !!!
Wonderful. Thank you for posting
Watching Gary while he’s playing this is truly moving
Looking at Peacock’s face, he is happy..
Magnifique, merci du partage !
thanks Paolo; this music somehow makes me a better person.
this is my favourite song. At least from what I’ve heard so far
Capolavoro.
This is BEAUTIFUL! Oh Man!
this doesn’t sound like prism…
@AMALTEO Ha aggiunto al catharsis
Gary Peacock is in another dimension entirely
Grazie Amalteo
this video is like a drug. i cannot stop watching it. it can move stones back to the top on the mountain. very nice! true art, maybe more…
Definitely five stars ! Absolute stunning performance ! Thanks for posting ;D
besser geht es nicht. danke.
Great tune , nice job amalteo!! (Y)
Listen to this song: refreshing yet clever and inteligent. Flowing creation. Signs of true jazz. This is great music and great video!
deamnnnnnnnn it’s so collll !!!!
I saw Keith Jarret last night at the NJPAC in Newark NJ. An excellent musical performance by 3 great musicians. Keith Jarrett always amazes me!!! WOW!!
cosa non fa keith jarrett al pianoforte! è incredibile! che trasporto!
I have listened to a zillion times and it never ceases to amaze. Is there a recorded (live or studio) and thus buyable version around?
this music is fantastic! make me very good ,sounds like peace…
Incredible…Jack is one of my main influences
I freakin’ love Gary on this one. He’s in the Twilight Zone.
Well… I´m not keith jarret, gary peacock or jack, and i will never play like them, but the feeling of playing improvised music, in those moments when everything is flowing, all the band is connected and magic is happening, that, i know.
… closest to playing good music…
If you are not a musician, and have never known the feeling of playing music, these images are the closest you can get.
yes it is.. it’s the coda after Prism 🙂
This is most definitely not Prism.
Yep… this is indeed quite beautiful soloing and dynamics, BUT not more than quite plain changes in E Maj. Prism does begin with a cadence in E Maj but that’s about as common as it goes with this… there’s at least some 4-5 key modulations along the piece, plus it’s one of the most beautiful, intricate harmonic creations I’ve heard in recent Jazz… I nursed through a heartbreak listening to the “Changes” version on repeat through 6 months… Man, you just can’t end learning from it.
Personal mountains is jarretts best music.
MATE!! Keith is playing RFH TOMORROW!! AND I CAN’T GO!! 😦
BTW for anyone interested in hearing Prism, jarrett recorded it on “personal mountains” (first version) and then with the trio on “changes”. Recently Brad Mehldau Recorded it with Charlie Haden and the late M Brecker, on the album “american dreams”. I don’t love this last version, but it’s a great band.
of course it’s not prism. It’s a vamp on one chord. It’s very very beautiful. but has nothing whatsoever to do with prism. Maybe it’s a coda “after” a version of prism. Nonetheless it’s a very cool moment of improvised music. thumbs up!
what ever the name is – its very beautiful music
One of the best dance music I’ve ever heard. Let’s start dancing!!
This is a really long vamp at the end of ‘Prism’. It sounds far better in the context of the entire tune. The more complex harmonies of the tune preceding this give this simple pentatonic vamp great contrast. I wish someone would upload the entire tune. It would be far better.
the energy in his video is so good, feel a little nostalgic even romantic really great, i love the way that you see Gary Peacock enjoying his playing, fantastic
this is a wrong song, the prizm is something else
i’m in love with peacock!
i’m in love with peacock!
more Keith on Youtube please!!!
what happened to the bass?
Just can hear this again and again, just lovely!!
typical for keith’s music, and yet absolutely unique
hihats: The “great” pianist all make vocal sounds. Oscar, Erroll, Bud Powell, John Lewis, the Count, the Duke. If you ask the audience not to take pictures, they shouldn’t. Artists of Jarrett’s caliber are wired different than normal people. To an true artist in another place it can be very distracting, and annoying to others in the audience. I would pass any other Jarrett concerts. Although I am not a Doctor I would say you do not have hemorrhoids, you are a perfect asshole.
Oh very good a drugs joke, how clever you are. I bet just everyone who saw that went ‘oh wow clever’. But seeing as i dont even drink, makes your comment completely void. And criticize all you like but be respectful. Do you actually like his playing and just dislike his ‘moaning’?
Christ the Keith worshippers never cease with their defense of the guy who cursed out the audience because they took his picture. Mr.Jarrett…I apologize to you for daring to criticize your genius warbling while playing the piano.I’m not bright enough to comprehend the beauty of how your vocal accompaniment actually enhances the melody that flows with ease from your gifted fingertips.Your fan base is quite rabid about you….psst…percdan…lay off the Percodan,ok?
hihats im guessing your a drummer….christ stop reinforcing the stupid stereotype
Gary Peacock is inside an spiral. Looks like he’s hugging the bass!
You deserve it for being everything that humanity stands for..
he does that all the time in other videos. during jack’s solos the camera is on gary for most of them
what the hell is it then?
Keiths ‘whining’ is a result of an amazing connection he has between his mind, heart and soul. Your ‘whining’ is the result of a direct connection between your mind and your Sphincter ani externus!
who’s the idiot groaning/whining/ on this video? oh wait…that’s right…I forgot…it’s the piano player.I’d buy his music if it wasn’t wrecked by his vocalese.
jarrett is a great master ! i saw him 89 in cologne ( cd “tribute” )- the best concert i v ever seen 🙂 !! ..you wonna see/hear something innovative – ..how to improvise bach or mozart ..?! look for video : “bach sarabande jazz guitar” or go to renatorozic dot com /audio/bach or audio/mozart.. ..you ll astonish.. ! 🙂
The standards trio at its worst. BTW, this is not ‘prism’, regardless what’s the title named on the DVD.
It is a flavor and vibe – nothing more solid than that. Might be my imagination. But that doesn’t make it the same piece! Of that I’m sure.
Mehr kann Musik nicht leisten. Wunderbar!
Just listened to Prism, two versions; there is a superficial similarity – I hear no thematic or chordal signature of Prism here. It has been decided. You may rest now.
I love the way Gary Peacock creates that buzzing sound. Its haunting.
i agree. then when he sweats the light refects off and it looks like he has a really runny nose.
you shouldn’t forget dejohnette’s job on drums 😉
WOW!!!! They are not human…Thank you for posting : )
This is great material,thank you!
ciao a tutti many thx, bellissimo
