Il 3 maggio di 95 anni fa nasceva John Lewis, uno dei protagonisti della storia del jazz del secolo scorso. Straordinario pianista, compositore, arrangiatore fu, assieme a Milt Jackson l'ideatore del Modern Jazz Quartet uno dei più celebrati gruppi musicali del jazz.
